Though our current focus is in rural Alaska, we ultimately desire to offer the
Transforming Leaders program to struggling communities around the world.
We've received requests for the program from organizations in seven different
countries. This illustrates to us the felt need for support among these leaders as
they work to serve those around them.

Transforming Leaders: rural Alaska

The rural communities in Alaska lead the nation in rates of suicide, poverty,
and sexual, substance and domestic abuse. Initially this appears bleak, but
we see tremendous hope. We are encouraged by those who have looked at
seemingly overwhelming odds and, instead of running, have decided to stand
and face them.
Through the Transforming Leaders program, Beyond Borders walks alongside
these who serve, bringing life and hope to those in need. Transforming Leaders
walks the extra mile with these leaders. It is a process where they receive the
support, training and encouragement they need to turn their communities
around.
